    James W. Murphy - Dedicated Volunter Tucson, AZ

     

    Longtime Tucson, AZ, resident James W. Murphy is passionate about volunteering with charities. He has offered his fundraising skills to several organizations and hospitals, helping them fund operations and initiate construction projects. James W. Murphy has also directly worked at several organizations in Tucson, AZ, meeting the housing and education needs of residents in need.

     

    Mr. Murphy studied finance at Northern Arizona University and worked in finance for decades. He supported commercial lending operations at Valley National Bank and consulted with charities on how to make the most of their funds.

     

    Currently, as a volunteer at the HabiStore, Mr. Murphy teaches other volunteers skills such as sales and merchandise staging. He has clocked more than 4,000 volunteer hours with Habitat for Humanity and received a certificate from President Obama for his dedicated volunteer work.

     

    He previously served as president of the Catalina Foothills Kiwanis Club. He led club members in building a mobile kitchen that they took to fairs and rodeo parades to raise money for children experiencing reading difficulties.
